How to avoid dizziness during training

How to avoid dizziness during training0

Q: I have been practicing yoga for more than two years, but my physical fitness is still very poor. When doing the warrior series or asanas with the head lower than the heart, I feel a heavy load on my heart and feel dizzy easily. How can I practice to strengthen my physique?

Teacher Mohan: First of all, you need to have a medical examination to see if your heart function and blood pressure are normal. If you have low or high blood pressure, excessive forward bending can cause your heart to race and your head to feel dizzy. People with blood pressure problems need to be particularly careful when bending their bodies downward. When doing asana restoration and getting up, they can pause for a while and adjust for a few breaths. After blood circulation returns to normal, then slowly straighten your body.

Secondly, if your blood pressure is normal, it may be due to the high blood viscosity, which can also cause symptoms such as rapid heartbeat and dizziness.

I suggest you drink 500ml of plain water one hour before practice. This can improve blood circulation, improve your health, and reduce and eliminate dizziness to a certain extent. Moreover, if you properly use some assistive devices according to your physical condition, and practice semi-plough pose, plough pose, shoulder stand, fish pose and head stand regularly for 20 minutes every day, your condition will be improved within two weeks.
