Bulgarian folk story: the story of a sly little hotel owner

there was a liar who opened a little hotel at the intersection.

tired passengers gathered here from all sides, resting in this small hotel and drinking a few sips of wine.

at first, the owner of this little hotel brought some real wine for his customers -- a little water in it.

later, when he saw that the customers were not too picky about his problems, he brought water for the customers — only a little wine in the water.

after a year.

this little hotel owner's wallet is filled with gold coins.

he shut down his little hotel and left for home.

he was from afar.

the rich little hotel owner came to the seaside and bought a little monkey in town for fun and took a boat.

the ship sailed into the sea.

at lunchtime, the hotel owner sits in the little diet of the boat.

he ate himself well, but he threw two or three walnuts at the little monkey.

he was so full he went to bed on the deck.

but he just lay down and suddenly remembered his money.

he touched the purse in his arms and put it under his head -- in the safest place.

the monkey was there, starving, staring at the master.

he saw the owner hide a bag under his head, thinking, "there's probably something to eat there." he waited anxiously for the master to fall asleep.

this liar-- the owner of the little hotel really fell asleep.

the little monkey went quietly to the master and dragged out the wallet under his head.

it stretches its claws into its wallet and touches a gold coin.

it's strange that it put the coin on its teeth — this thing can't eat! the monkey's angry, he grabs the tape of the wallet, he swings around his head and throws it in the sea.

the owner of the small hotel woke up at that time; he jumped up and looked -- the wallet full of gold coins had fallen into the sea and sank...

the owner of the small hotel was holding his head.

the boat happens to have a farmer.

he used to go drinking at that little hotel at the intersection.

he looked at the owner of the little hotel and said, "don't be sad, friend.

your money was given to you by the water -- and now, it's just the water that takes it back."
