According to the British "Daily Mail" report, on June 21, local time, thousands of yoga enthusiasts gathered in Times Square in Manhattan, New York, USA, to hold the "Mind Over Madness" annual yoga event to celebrate the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. The theme of this event is "Gain energy in the noisiest place in the world to find tranquility and achieve transcendence."

A total of three free yoga activities will be held here in the morning, noon and evening that day. Participants need to bring their own yoga mats, but the first 1000 people of each activity can receive free yoga mats donated by the organizer.
Michelle Merrifield, 29, who runs a yoga studio in Australia, feels: "It's unbelievable to find inner peace in the heart of New York, the busiest and bustling city in the world." Anne Pollard, 33, from Minnesota, USA, said she could feel the energy and vitality in the subway roaring past under her feet and the air.
Those yoga enthusiasts who cannot go to Times Square to interact together should not regret it, because the organizers of this event also specially broadcast the event live on their website so that people can feel like they are in it without leaving their homes.
"Summer solstice" means "the sun is at rest" in Latin. On this day, the sun shines directly on the Tropic of Cancer. After that, it no longer moves north and returns south again. This year, the sun changed at 1:16 p.m. EST, during the outdoor yoga event. (Editor in charge: Chen Shaopeng)
