China-India Yoga Summit holds a lecture by top yoga masters in Guangzhou
On the afternoon of June 15, 2011, the world-famous top yoga master Ai Yanger attended the press conference of the "China-India Yoga Summit". In the conference hall of the Guangdong Province Museum in Zhujiang New City, Guangzhou, the master communicated with China yoga practitioners and the media for the first time.
The 93-year-old Indian Master Iyengar has a ruddy complexion and a strong voice. The old man accepted the praises of the organizers,"Like the founder of Dharma more than a thousand years ago, Master Iyengar landed in Guangzhou." He hoped to spread yoga in China just as Dharma spread Buddhism.
At the press conference, Master Iyengar talked with great interest about his experience of yoga-about the art of yoga, the philosophy of yoga, and the science of yoga, and answered questions from the media and yoga practitioners in detail. He said that this exchange with China yoga enthusiasts is itself the most beautiful yoga.
Iyengar was invited by the Indian government to attend the "China-India Yoga Summit" held at the Baiyun International Convention Center in Guangzhou on June 16. This is his first visit to China and the last stop on his global heritage journey in his yoga teaching career. He brought his family and top ten disciples from around the world. After the summit on June 16, a three-day professional yoga training will be held at the Guangzhou Gymnasium from June 17 to 19.
In India and even the international yoga world, Iyengar is a well-deserved top master. He is the god of yoga!" Yin Yan, founder of Youji Yoga China and well-known media personality, one of the initiators of this yoga summit, stood next to Master Iyengar and spoke with a trembling voice.
Nearly a thousand senior yoga practitioners from all over the country came to Guangzhou to attend the summit. Because Iyengar came to Guangzhou through Hong Kong, a group of Iyengar worshipers from Hong Kong also followed. (Editor in charge: Jiang Gang)
