Daphne's guitar yoga trip

Listening to her singing is like opening a map that travelers carry with them, with different symbols marking every place left and arrived during the journey. From the vast grassland to the bustling city, the free and easy singing on the string she plucked in her hand spread out in front of the listener's eyes. Daphne Tse uses her new form of music to bring yoga in life to a place that many masters have not yet visited.

Since Daphne's first yoga class 15 years ago, the Asian-American artist has begun to blend her contemporary folk-style music with arduous yoga practices. She studied music at the University of Texas at Austin, and then went to the Old Town Folk Music School, the largest community art college in the United States, in Chicago, to study folk music. He also studied spiritual music under Grammy nominees and winners Jai Uttal and Daniel Paul. At the same time, while studying music, she went to India, Greece, Guatemala and Costa Rica to practice yoga alone. She started teaching more than 10 years ago, gradually forming her own unique yoga course and becoming an internationally renowned leader in this cross-border field.

Since then, she has traveled between Europe, Central and North America and Asia, studying, traveling, teaching yoga, and giving small concerts. Daphne uses her unique identity and borderless music as a messenger to bring the spirit of physical and mental unity to every yoga practitioner she meets wherever she goes. It's a very simple message, pure focus, optimism, and peace. When your eyes and ears come into contact with her person, music and her complete yoga lifestyle, you will find that in the present, you don't have to decorate yourself to be bright and exquisite, but you can still rub yourself while passing by. It is so charming and worth remembering for a long time.

Listening to the travel stories in her music and following her practice of stretching freely in the rhythm, I always feel like I have been to many places, big and small, that make me yearn for. I haven't moved, but my heart is far away. In early summer this year, Daphne will join hands with a yoga studio in China for the first time to bring her unique courses to Yogis in China. Especially when she heard about the recent earthquake in Yushu, China, she was very concerned. She, who had invested in aid work in many international earthquakes, decided to advance her trip and do her best for Yushu.

From May 22 to 23 (Saturday to Sunday), Daphne will come to Shanghai from Hong Kong to start the most important stop of her Asian tour this year at the Kama Life Yoga Studio in Lujiazui, Shanghai. She will hold a two-day yoga workshop here, and will hold a small concert to raise funds for disaster relief with Kama Yoga at 7:30 pm on the 22nd. All donations raised from the concert will be donated to China Red Cross Foundation to support the living supply of residents in the disaster area.

Daphne Xie, the artist named after the Greek goddess laurel, lives happily and happily regardless of her efforts in return. In her walks and walks, through yoga and music, she conveys the concept of yoga life that she wants to express. In May of this year, a new mark will appear on her travel map and accompany her to continue walking. (Internship Editor: Yan Lili)
