It's easy to be a fashion guy
Yoga, which has always been regarded as a women's sport, is now becoming a new favorite among men in Shanghai. The reporter saw in a yoga class at a fitness club over the weekend that 10 of the more than 30 students were men. The same situation is true for other fitness spots, where the yoga whirlwind is starting from a 25-year-old man to a 70-year-old man.
Yesterday, the reporter came to the "One Million Wade" Anshan store. Amid the beautiful and soothing light music and a touch of Indian aromatherapy, the stretching appearance of more than 10 men was particularly outstanding among a group of female students.
Mr. Tang, a white-collar worker, has been practicing yoga for two months. He told reporters: "In the past, due to long periods of overloaded work and study, my head, neck and back were very uncomfortable. After practicing yoga, I have greatly improved. There's nothing to be ashamed of. There are many friends here." The reporter found that during practice periods, male students were not alone and often competed with female students to learn skills. "Practicing with many girls doesn't feel strange, but you can train your communication skills." A Mr. Chen answered reporters this way.
Manager Li of this store told reporters that their yoga classes were not long. At first, the ratio of male to female students was about 1:5. In less than half a month, the number of men increased significantly, accounting for 30% of the total number.
The reporter interviewed several other fitness clubs and found that there were quite a number of men practicing yoga, with almost 10% of them in every class. The students come from all walks of life, mostly white-collar workers. Most of them are residents aged 25- 35 living nearby. Among them are several elderly people, the oldest being 70 years old.
