Scoliosis correction yoga protects our spine
Scoliosis is a disease that afflicts many people. Its incidence in women is higher than that in men, and it mostly occurs in minors.
Scoliosis symptoms in minors can have a domino effect that makes the body worse and worse, with shoulders in an abnormal configuration with one shoulder blade higher than the other, or one hip higher than the other, an unbalanced waist, and the head often leans or protrudes forward rather than in the center of the pelvis. All of these imbalances will cause a series of pain and make the body weak. Headaches can occur frequently due to unbalanced head and shoulders, and tilted hips can cause lower back pain and sciatica. Soliosis causes wear on the spinal joints in the depression, causing the disc to degenerate or protrude. The pain in the depressed area is unbearable, resulting in insomnia, and abnormalities often occur in the cardiopulmonary system.
Correction yoga for scoliosis
1. Stand with your feet together, inhale, raise your hands above your head and straighten your arms, and exhale. (See Figure 1)
2. Inhale, raise your hands above your head and bend directly behind your body to reach the maximum limit. (See Figure 2)
3. Exhale and restore, repeat the movements 1-3, practice 6-8 times until you feel the spine warm.
This action can also be used as a preventive action for scoliosis. It can be used as part of a warm-up exercise before each yoga practice. (Internship Editor: Wu Jinyu)
