Yoga: Let the feeling of relaxation spread from your fingertips
Make a handprint and let the feeling of relaxation spread from your fingertips to your whole body. This is finger yoga.
Finger yoga, as the name suggests, is yoga that exercises fingers and practices a series of hand gestures for a long time to achieve self-cultivation and treatment of diseases. Since there are many acupuncture points in the hand corresponding to major organs of the body, correct practice of various gestures can stimulate the corresponding acupuncture points, thus having a positive impact on the body. If combined with appropriate breathing movements, eye movements, meditation and prayer, you can also relax your spirit, eliminate fatigue, get rid of negative emotions such as tension, anxiety, depression, and anger, create inner peace, and then achieve coordination between your body and soul. In short, the task of finger yoga is: self-healing and the release of personal energy.
Similarly, there are multiple sets of body postures (or asanas) called "Asana" for practitioners to practice continuously. Similarly, finger yoga also has a series of hand gestures called "Mudra". The word "Mudra" originates from Sanskrit and originally means "mudra", which means making various postures with your fingers. The earliest ones that appeared were the nine mudras, also known as the "Buddhist mudras", which were a symbol of meditation and practice. Today, Indian dance masters and yogis have created dozens of hand gestures with different physiotherapy effects based on this. There are the following common ways to learn:
The first type: "Gyan Mudra"(wisdom mudra)
Gently interlock your thumb and index finger, and stretch the other three fingers naturally. This mudra represents the fusion of one's own energy with the energy of the universe, which can calm down quickly. Long-term practice can also restore memory and treat neuroses such as insomnia, depression, and drowsiness.
The second type: "Rudra Mudra"(Mingmu Mudra)
Place the fingertips of the index finger and ring finger together on the tip of the thumb, connect it hard, and the rest of the fingers stretch freely. Practicing this gesture has the effects of improving eyesight, improving blood circulation, and treating vein blockages.
The third type: "Apan Vayu Mudra"(heart-strengthening mudra)
Bend your index finger, press on the palm collum, and the little finger stands upright; then place the tips of your middle and ring fingers on the tip of your thumb and connect them tightly. (Hands) The functions of this gesture include: strengthening the heart, relieving discomfort caused by various heart emergencies, establishing normal blood pressure, regulating menstruation, purifying the whole body, etc.
The famous finger yoga master Sabrina Meshko conducted in-depth research on the ancient art of finger yoga and finally wrote it into a book-"Healing Mudras-Yoga for Your Hand", which was translated into 14 languages, selling well around the world.
