The name Ujayi breathing control method is transliteration from Sanskrit "Ujjayi". It means wind blowing or expansion, conveying a feeling of excellence and power.

Practice yoga Ujayi breathing control method

1. Sit down in any posture that your body feels, yoga Ujayi breathing control method (lotus sitting, relax and sit).

2. Keep your back straight, lower your head toward your torso, and place your chin in the depression between your clavicles to lock your chin.

3. Stretch your arms, place your wrists on your knees, rest your thumbs and index fingers against each other, and keep the other fingers straight (the so-called "smart handprints").

4. Close your eyes and look inside.

5. Fully breathe, breathe 3 times.

6. Now start practicing the Ujiayi breathing control method.

7. Breathe slowly, deeply and steadily through both nostrils. You can feel the inhalation of air in the upper jaw and make a dental fricative sound "Sa".

8. Fill the lungs and be careful not to inflate the abdomen when inhaling (this should be observed for any type of breathing control).

9. The entire abdominal area from the perineum to the sternum should be pulled back towards the spine.

10. Hold your breath for 1-2 seconds. This inner retention is called holding your breath inside.

11. Exhale slowly, deeply and steadily until your lungs are completely emptied. When you begin to exhale, retract your abdomen inward in a controlled manner, and after 2-3 seconds of exhale, the diaphragm slowly relaxes. When exhaling out, the upper jaw will feel gas flowing outward and make a "Ha" sound.

12. After staying for 1 second, start a new breath. This staying time is called external breath.

13. The process from steps 7 to 12 is a complete cycle of Ujiayi breathing control method. Repeat for 5 to 10 minutes, and both eyes are closed throughout the process.
