Yoga practice breathing training for singing0

To learn yoga singing well, you need to understand the skills of adjusting and controlling the breath during the yoga singing process. As long as you study carefully, master the key points, and practice persevere, you will definitely learn to feel it.

Breath is the power source of sound. Adequate and stable breath is the basis of pronunciation. Some people speak or sing in a loud, long-lasting and powerful voice. People praise that he or she has a lot of "qi". On the contrary, some people speak or sing in a very low volume, are weak, and are out of breath. Like mosquitoes buzzing, it is difficult to hear clearly. Such people lack "qi". In addition to the difference in physical fitness, there is also a question of breathing regulation skills, that is, whether the coordination and coordination of breathing and singing is appropriate.

Under normal circumstances, singing occurs during exhalation not during inhalation, and the pause occurs during inhalation. If it is a long-lasting song, it will inevitably require a stronger breathing cycle than usual.

The correct breathing method during singing should be the thoraco-abdominal combined breathing method (also known as Dantian breathing method and Yoga complete breathing method), that is, the lower abdomen is contracted and the breathing is controlled by the power of Dantian.

Thoracic and abdominal breathing is between chest breathing and abdominal breathing and is a combination of the two. The specific methods are as follows:

Inhalation: The lower abdomen contracts inward towards the Dantian. On the contrary, the abdomen, chest and waist expand outward at the same time. You can feel the tightening of the waist belt and the force of the front abdomen and waist stretching forward, back, left and right respectively. Inhale through your nose quickly, quietly and deeply.

Exhale: The lower abdomen should be almost always retracted and cannot be released. Under the control of the chest and abdomen, the air stored in the lungs should be slowly released and vomited evenly. Exhale with your mouth evenly, slowly and steadily. During the exhalation, sounds are emitted one after another to form a rhythmic vocal singing language.

This breathing method can fill the abdomen and dantian with breath, providing sufficient "qi" for singing and pronunciation. At the same time, since the lower abdomen contracts inward and the chest expands outward, the lower abdomen, waist and back chest are used as support points, providing sufficient "force" for singing and pronunciation. The integration of "qi" and "force" has laid a solid foundation for a beautiful singing voice. (Internship Editor: Wu Jinyu)
