How to prevent vitamin D deficiency
Children can be taken out for outdoor activities after a full month and start to supplement vitamin D at 10ug 400IU per day.
Premature infants, twins and low birth weight infants can be replenished from 2 weeks after birth, and given 20ug 800IU per day for the first 3 months, and then reduced to 10ug 400IU per day. Generally, vitamin D can no longer be used for prevention after taking it until the age of 2.
Physical growth accelerates during adolescence, such as insufficient vitamin D in the diet and less outdoor activities, preventive doses of vitamin A and D preparations can also be considered.
For hepatobiliary diseases, long-term use of drugs such as phenobarbital and phenytoin sodium can affect the metabolism of vitamin D, blood calcium and phosphorus, and vitamin D should be given for prevention at the same time.
When chloramectin milk is used for prevention, 15mg orally contains 300,000 IU of vitamin D3 once, and can be taken again at intervals of 3 months. The total amount for a year shall not exceed 30mg containing 600,000 IU of vitamin D3. (Editor in charge: Tian Tian)
