Eating two eggs for breakfast can easily lose weight

According to the Daily Mail on the 2nd, scientists have found that people who eat poached, boiled or scrambled eggs for breakfast can lose about two-thirds more weight than others.

Researchers at Louisiana State University conducted a trial on a group of overweight and obese women. They can choose between two eggs or bagels for breakfast, which contain the same calories and are roughly the same weight. Eight weeks later, researchers compared that people who ate eggs lost 65% more weight, and their waistlines shrank twice as size as those who ate bagels.

The reason why eating eggs for breakfast helps lose weight is because it can make people feel "full" for a longer time than other foods. So after eating eggs for breakfast, people will eat less food next. "An egg breakfast can reduce energy needs for at least 24 hours," said obesity expert Nikhil Deandhar.

As for why eating eggs makes people full easily, there is no clear conclusion yet. It is speculated that this is related to the large amount of protein it contains.

De Anderhar believes that these findings are indicative. In many cultural traditions, eggs are part of breakfast, which may be because they help people reduce energy intake and achieve weight loss.

The British Food Standards Agency said that although eggs contain cholesterol, the saturated fat found in cakes, biscuits and pies is more detrimental to the body. They also reminded that eggs are only part of a healthy, balanced diet and that food diversity should be maintained as much as possible. (Editor in charge: Deng Qi)
