Strange customs in Uganda

In Uganda, the habits that some locals find natural and reasonable are strange to outsiders. However, what attitude people adopt towards it depends on benevolence and wisdom.

For example, the Karamoja people in Uganda believe that wearing clothes will cause harm; in some tribes, if a tribal leader takes a virgin as a concubine or queen, he will be humiliated by all his people; even women wearing trousers will be morally condemned.

Wearing clothes is unlucky

During the colonial rule in the past, Karamoja was regarded as a restricted area, and Karamoja people were also regarded as savages and were not allowed to have contact with mainlanders. Due to their long-term isolation from the outside world, the Karamoja people increasingly developed their own unique customs. They don't wear clothes, regardless of men, women and children. Men and children are usually completely naked. World customs network, and women sometimes only carry a piece of animal skin around their lower body.
