When to lose weight? Before the age of 35

Zhou Hongming, a visiting professor at EMBA at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, quoted the 2014 green and thin big data showing that among the weight loss population, the proportion of men and women is seriously unbalanced. About 95% of the weight loss population are women, while only about 5% are men. The fact is that men are no less obese than women, and the harm of obesity in men is no less harmful than women. It shows that weight loss has both health and social factors. Men have lower levels of social anxiety about weight loss.

The age distribution of people who lose weight shows that 15 - 35 years old are the organizers of weight loss, accounting for more than 70.6%, of which 44.7% are those aged 25 - 35; there is a decreasing trend, to over 55 years old. Only 3.3% of people are keen on weight loss. Data shows that 85% of people live like plants, that is,"vegetative people" who "often sit still"; only 15% of people can insist on "walking often".

People of different ages also have subtle differences in the parts to lose weight. People over the age of 30 mainly focus on the waist, and more than 60% mainly want to slim their waist; while young people under the age of 20 pay more attention to their legs in addition to their small waist, and about 1/3 of them say they want to slim their legs.

It is worth noting that more than half, or 50.4%, of the people who lose weight have a BMI within the normal range, that is, between 18.5 and 4. In the overweight range of 24 to 8, 30.1%. Only 18.6% of people are obese or above, i.e. BMI28 or above. What's more, 0.84% of people who are "too thin", that is, people with a BMI below 18.5, are also actively losing weight.
