8 tips for beginners

Yoga is a system that helps humans realize their full potential by raising awareness. Yoga postures use ancient and easy-to-master techniques to improve people's physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual abilities. It is a way of exercise to achieve harmony and unity of body, soul and spirit.

For beginners, during the process of practicing yoga, what matters need to be paid more attention to avoid injuries and achieve the greatest and best results? If you achieve the following eight points during practice, you will be able to achieve twice the result with half the effort.

1. Breathe

The breathing here refers to "deep and gentle breathing", because we generally only use 30% of our breathing function in daily life. Through yoga, you can retrieve the remaining 70% of your potential, so always remember: Deep, deep, deep breath!

2. Warm up

If you feel numb when you move your body after holding a position for a few minutes in daily life, it means that your blood circulation is slow enough to protest against you with numbness. It is appropriate for such people to spend 15-20 minutes warming up before practicing yoga; if you have a good habit of exercising, you can start formal practice by doing 5-10 minutes warming up!

However, it is absolutely impossible to do without warming up!!!

3. Relax

With relaxation, you will have softness. With softness, your muscles will have elasticity. With elasticity, you can avoid many sports injuries and your movements will be elegant and coordinated. So, don't be nervous and let yourself relax and enjoy the charm of yoga.

4. Feeling

When practicing yoga, you must "follow your feelings". You must be more sensitive to your "feelings" and understand whether you are physically and mentally balanced? Are you affected by stress or feeling unwell? More importantly, you must rely on your feelings to understand whether the twisting, folding, stretching, squeezing, etc. of the body is within the body's tolerance range. Don't force the body to stretch in order to pursue standard movements, as long as you reach your limit, yoga begins to work.

5. Focus

Concentration and feeling are inseparable. Only by focusing can we feel our feelings, and use concentration to lead consciousness to taste, experience, gain, improve, and enjoy...

6. Balance

"Balance" is very important to physical health, while balance of body and mind will glow, and people who lose balance will definitely be eclipsed. If you are a sedentary office worker for a long time, you need to practice more standing postures. If you work standing for a long time, you need to practice more lying, lying, and sitting postures to regain your balance.

7. Continuation

When making yoga a part of life, it is best to practice for about 30 minutes a day. If it is for weight loss, you should practice for more than 40 minutes. However, don't put too strict restrictions on yourself. If you feel tired, you can only practice every day. 5 minutes to allow your body and mind to adjust, and then increase your practice time. In short, it is right to maintain "contact" between your body and yoga every day.

8. Fall in love with yoga

Only a heartfelt love can allow you to do the above seven suggestions. When yoga changes your body and makes you more beautiful and healthier, I believe you will truly fall in love with it! (Internship Editor: Yan Lili)
