English folk story: magic shoes

a long time ago, a king gave birth to a son who thought he would be allowed to have a daughter, but the second child was still not a daughter.

the queen said, "there are now two boys, and the next must be a little girl." but the third child is still a man.

the king was sad at that time, but still believed that the fourth child must be a lovely little girl.

however, his wish failed again.

that's it, one after the other, until the thirteenth child was born, the king saw his daughter.

the joy of the king and queen cannot be said to have been celebrated with the greatest feast, and the little princess was of course held like a flower.

this is where the story begins.

at the climax, the gates of the palace were opened and three leprechauns flew in, but only the little princess could see them because they were here to give her gifts.

the first leprechaun said, "i gave her health so that she would never get sick in her life." the second leprechaun said, "i give her beauty and make her beautiful forever in life." the third leprechaun said, "i gave her luck so that she could live without disaster." after that, three leprechauns disappeared.

soon after, the palace gate was opened again and a small wife walked in in black.

she took out two silver little shoes, dressed on the feet of the little princess, and said to the little princess, "these are two magic shoes, with which you will enter the hearts of the people." and then he went away laughing.

a long time later, people will hear her laugh。
