Indian mythology: Underground Kingdom

an indian killed his wife and was very sad.

"where are you, wife? without you, who will take care of me and wash me and cook me?" he's in his grief every day, doing nothing, and in the end, he has to live a long life.

one night, he came to his wife's grave, fell down and cried out, "o wife, why have you left me alone? i'm so miserable!" "why are you crying?" "my wife died and i cried because i was lonely and i wanted to see her!" the stranger said, "you really want to see her? i'll take you! but you have to close your eyes.

i won't let you open it.

don't open it." once the indian heard his wife, he was happy to say yes.

a little while later, the stranger said to him, "okay, open your eyes!" the indians have opened their eyes to him and he has come to the underground kingdom of the pluto.

the man who brought him is long gone.

"if you miss your wife, go to the river." find a horse on the bank and bring it to me." the indians listened to him to find the river.

the river was found soon, but the shore was full of clean women, where they washed their hair and washed their clothes.

the indians searched for half a day and did not find a horse.

he went back to pluto and said, "i didn't find the horse, i only saw many women." death said to him, "go and ask them who the horse is.

who told you she was a horse, this woman is your wife.

if you ask, she'll become a horse.

take her and bring her to me." the indians returned to the river and did as death commanded.

he asked the women, "who are you horses?" one of them turned into a horse.

the indian put her in a trap and took her to pluto.

they walked through a big pit, and there was a fire and a pile of white bones.

the indian wife told her husband that she took a bath at the river every day and then came back with firewood, a woman in the shower and a horse in the wood, but that as soon as she approached the fire pit, she became a pile of white bones.

“he burned me every day to punish me”, she continued to tell her husband, “he burned me to ashes.

i said to pluto, "my sins have come to an end, and he will remove the ashes and turn me back into a woman." this punishment is terrible, but i'm still trying to get through it because you didn't hit me when i was alive."
