Yoga Netizen Experience: Body and mind are awakened

The morning after I tried yoga for the first time, my whole body became sore and unexpected.

That soreness feeling is actually very familiar. It also appears after occasionally climbing up and down bookshelves, sorting out old books. But it was unusual... I carefully stretched my muscles and muscles again, deliberately stimulating the acid, and found that the soreness seemed to flow through the capillaries and every inch of my skin. However, the inner experience is wonderful. It is as if I have had a pleasant conversation with my own flesh and skin. The ligaments and bones on my body that have followed me for many years but are still unfamiliar have been awakened by yoga.

Y+, Yplus is in an old house. In addition to the plain white yoga studio, Y+ has walls painted in court red, glass windows without window frames, and wooden stairs. The green in the yard easily breaks into view. There is also enough freshly squeezed juice and professional American yoga instructors who know China acupuncture and can play saxophone. Maybe Y+ is not the best professional yoga club in Shanghai, but it must be the old house with the strongest flavor of yoga.

In the HOTYOGA--Thermal Yoga Training Room, there are beautiful and constantly changing music styles floating. In the ASHTANGA training class, it was surprisingly quiet, and you could hear the gradually heavy snorting of each student.

The practice room is neatly paved with blue professional yoga mats, which are soft and non-slip, so that when completing various movements barefoot, the tired soles can gradually become attached.

HOTYOGA Thermal Yoga:

Don't forget to take a deep breath!

HOTYOGA, a modern yoga popular in New York, is definitely not a way to teach you "how to gain freedom in life." However, HOTYOGA is attractive enough to modern people.

Thermal yoga has certain requirements on the practice environment and is generally carried out in a room with a room temperature of 34-38 degrees Celsius. Thermal yoga consists of 26 series of postures, each of which is relatively independent and connected end to end. If a beginner with poor basic skills in sports wants to set up a decent POSE, he is likely to make a fool of himself, stumble, and crawl. At the relatively high room temperature, even if you don't move, you will be sweating after 5 minutes. You can imagine exercising in such a room? It's like taking a sauna.

Our hot yoga instructor is named Sean. He has lived in Shanghai for nearly two years. He majored in biology at an American university. Sean is very interested in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Sean has a 6-year yoga experience. He has a very mysterious Chinese name, Daolingshi.

Mr. Song Guangming, a Shanghai yoga master, has compared the sweating during thermal yoga with the sweating after a sauna. He believes that the sauna relies purely on external heat energy acting on the sweat glands, and the heat is transmitted from the outside to the inside and is uneven. Thermal yoga, on the other hand, combines the mechanical energy generated by postures and musculobones, and blends internal and external heat to dilate blood vessels and improve the balance of blood circulation throughout the body. It has the dual benefits of exercise and sauna.

1. Perching eagle

When you complete this action, you feel quite a sense of accomplishment. The process of doing this action is interesting. First of all, you have to figure out which arm is wrapped in front of you so that the direction of your palm cannot be wrong, otherwise you will just imitate a "spirit". Look, Harry, who is behind Sean, has been practicing yoga in his spare time for more than two years, but he can only twist himself into half a twist. It looks loose and makes people worry that it will fall apart at any time. It's not that Harry doesn't work hard, because he is a boy-most boys 'ligaments are not bright enough.

Physical feeling: Even if you twist it into a complete twist, it is not easy at all to stand steadily and persist for a minute! Remember: Maintain deep and even breathing, and then use perseverance to persevere.

2. Crescent Moon

This is the first of a series of 26 poses and is easier to imitate. When Sean easily straightened his arms and slowly bent them to one side of his body, I almost immediately followed suit. I accidentally saw my own shape in the mirror. God, my stomach was upright, my neck was retracted, and my arms were tightly and straight. Unfortunately, as my body bent, I lost my way-tilted to the back of my head.

Physical feeling: If you don't pay attention to your abdomen and chest out your chest, and put your arms close to your ears, you won't be able to breathe smoothly.

3. Stand with your head and knees on one foot

To be honest, I couldn't imitate this action in the end. I couldn't straighten my legs in the air at all, especially when I discovered to my dismay that my arms were too short? That he couldn't touch his feet at all, which was far from it. Alas, the ligaments are too tight. The coach helped and pressed, and I finally persisted for 5 seconds. These 5 seconds built up my confidence.

Physical feeling: Completed with help, but temporarily did not gain independent movement experience.

4. Toe skills

This is a difficult move! Put your hands together and move your feet to the groin area of the other leg... Squat slowly, then continue to squat with your hands.

However, even if I successfully squatted on one foot, raised my heel, and kept my body balanced completely with my toes... I was defeated.

Physical feeling: Sean said that the first thing to do is maintain a deep breath even, but as a first-time experiencer, I don't even dare to take a breath, for fear that it will fall down if I breathe out.

5. Camels

"Camel" is not too wordy. The extent to which anti-bow can be achieved depends on each person and is not forced, and it is not possible to do it perfectly the first time. As for me, I still have a little confidence in doing this move.

Physical feeling: Eyes should look backward as much as possible, hands should be supported on the heels, and knees should be at a right angle.

6. Cobra

When Sean said,"Please lie down on your face down," he was overjoyed and thought he would rest for a while, so he lay down comfortably. At this time, we had been twisting in a room at 34℃ for an hour. How could we still have the strength to imitate? I looked up hard... my head still fell off like a broken tendon.

Physical feeling: It's so hard!

Ashtangga just wants to go all out

Whether HOTYOGA, ASH-TANGA, FLOW and other genres, they all belong to the category of Hatha--Hata Yoga. Compared to HOTYOGA, Ashtange is closer to traditional yoga. It attracts true yoga enthusiasts. Because they accidentally signed up for the wrong class and mistakenly entered the advanced class, the students here have attended at least 5 classes and they are already familiar with the action process. Therefore, during the process of experiencing ASHTANGA, I was in a hurry and panting.

The biggest difference between the feeling and thermal yoga is that ASHANGA does not pay attention to postures. For a full 90 minutes, all movements are almost completed in one go, and a short pause only exists in a certain movement.

Coach David is an American with 20 years of experience in yoga. His leisurely body movements, peaceful and quiet language, and the charm of yoga exceeds the imagination of ordinary people. This American who likes to play saxophone once followed K in India. PattabhiJois has studied yoga for 6 years, and K is the founder of ASH-TANGA Yoga.

We can't illustrate ASHANGA. If readers want to truly understand it, they can only sign up and experience it themselves. (Internship Editor: Wu Jinyu)
