Yoga helps relieve irregular heartbeat and reduces anxiety and depression
A new study in the United States found that practicing yoga frequently not only helps lower blood pressure and cholesterol, but also helps people with irregular heartbeats relieve this symptom and halves irregular heartbeats.
The University of Kansas Hospital conducted a 6-month study of 49 people with irregular heartbeats. During the first three months, patients can participate in any sports they like, and during the second three months, they complete a yoga program under the guidance of a professional, including breathing exercises, body movements, meditation, relaxation, etc. Throughout the study period, researchers monitored the patients 'heart condition, and patients also filled out questionnaires about anxiety, depression and overall quality of life.
The results of the study found that after practicing yoga, patients 'incidence of irregular heartbeat was halved on average, and their depression and anxiety scores were also significantly reduced. Researchers believe that practicing yoga clearly has an important impact on helping patients regulate their heart rate and improve their overall quality of life. (Editor in charge: Chen Shaopeng)
