Can "laugh" yoga prevent cancer and disease?

A form of "laughter yoga" that is believed to prevent cancer, eliminate disease and depression has recently become popular in Japan. About 40 related clubs have settled in Japan recently.

According to Kyodo News, at the "Kansai Laughing Yoga Club" located in the Higashiyodogawa district of Osaka City, yoga practice lasts for about one and a half hours each time. The content includes "Lion Laugh" with open eyes and tongue sticking out and laughing in circles."Lotus Laugh" and other more than 10 laughing methods, which end with meditation to calm the nerves.

Club manager Makoto Iwai said the human body itself cannot distinguish a fake smile from a real smile. Practitioners influence each other, and the laughter will become louder and louder, and the "fake laughter" of some practitioners will become a real laugh.

A 54-year-old Osaka woman who had suffered from panic attacks said her symptoms had basically disappeared after two months of practice. She said,"At first, I couldn't laugh no matter how hard it was, but later I could laugh and my mood became cheerful."
