Take your dog to practice yoga, do you dare?
Yoga is a way of fitness for people to cultivate their body and mind. It is currently popular among urban white-collar women in many large cities. Along with people's needs, major yoga studios have also opened various yoga courses. What are beauty yoga, water yoga, weight loss yoga... but I don't know if you have heard of "dog yoga"?
I saw a piece of news yesterday, and the news introduced this:
Dog yoga is so popular in the United States, but what about it in China? After calling and consulting professional yoga studios such as Fanhua, Youji, and Yama, they all said that they have not yet offered relevant courses and have no plans to do so in the short term. It seems that it is unlikely that China friends will want to go to a yoga studio to experience dog yoga for the time being. At the same time, during an exchange with a yoga instructor, I learned that many yoga studios have not started dog yoga courses because the course is too new and avant-garde, and there is currently no scientific data to support the functions mentioned therein.
This new type of yoga has become popular in many large cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Pittsburgh. A counselor at the Seattle Humane Society, which provides the new fitness course, said that at a pet dog massage fashion show held by the society, someone came up with the idea of practicing yoga with their dogs, and "dog yoga" has been gradually developed since then.
It is said that this yoga course was designed very successfully and quickly became popular in large cities in the United States, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and other countries. In 2003, Jennifer Brilliant, a respected New York yogi, edited and published the book "Dog Yoga-Yoga for Dogs". Nearly 100 pages of photos are published in the book to tell everyone how to practice.
To be honest, I have never seen what it looks like to practice yoga for dogs. I am really curious, so I used my gossip spirit, searched around and found the following pictures to share with everyone:
People and dogs are warm.
Dog: This pillow is so comfortable. Can I use this in the future?
Come and laugh together!
Dog: Hey, man, guess what my owner and I are doing?
