US Navy soldiers practice yoga on aircraft carrier0

The latest issue of Health Yoga, the largest circulation yoga magazine in the United States, published a jaw-dropping photo: On an aircraft carrier, two U.S. Navy soldiers were fully armed to practice yoga. It is amazing that soldiers who are full of masculinity and ready to fight on the battlefield have practiced the skills of soothing and pursuing inner peace. This new trend has quietly emerged in the US military camp.

24-year-old Marine Lieutenant Alan Zarasina attended a yoga training class. After months of hard work, he finally overcame the difficult movement of "Big Split" and won applause from the class. Zarasina said that a Navy friend took him to a yoga class. Although many friends laughed at him, he persisted for several months and began to fall in love with this exercise that enhances flexibility and balance. Zarasina said yoga helped him improve his posture so that he wouldn't feel sore back during long flights.

Tom Stephens, a 34-year-old retired military officer, said that he was the only male in the yoga class he attended. He was embarrassed to be surrounded by slender women in his twenties, but yoga not only exercises muscle stretching, but also adjusts breathing and exercises meditation, which is very good for concentration and "coincides with military training."

Rita, editor of Health Yoga, said that at first, she was very surprised to learn that American soldiers practiced yoga. Can soldiers practice this exercise? One yoga teacher replied: "War is like hell, and yoga can give some comfort to these devastated souls." (Editor in charge: Teng Yun)
