Yoga: Parent-child yoga considerations
1. What are the precautions for yoga exercises?
Answer: 1) Safety issues during exercise: When practicing parent-child yoga, a yoga mat should be used on the ground in addition to soft carpets. Mother's movements should be kept gentle to ensure the safety of the baby.
2) Babies should not participate in exercise during illness; babies with incomplete neck development should not participate in exercise
3) Dietary requirements: Yoga is an empty stomach exercise. Mothers should eat 3-4 hours before practice. If they are hungry, they can drink some liquids or eat some fruits 2 hours before practice. Eat again 40 minutes after practice.
2. Is yoga exercise limited to babies aged 6-12 months?
Answer: When designing this exercise according to Fan Jingguang, chief coach of Wyeth Parent-Child Yoga, he took into account the physiological characteristics of a baby aged 6-12 months. Therefore, the baby needs to meet the following conditions: the neck is fully developed. If your baby under 6 months old meets this condition, you can also practice. If babies over 1 year old are willing to cooperate, they can also exercise with their mother.
3. How many times does each action need to be done?
Answer: We recommend doing it 2 to 3 times.
4. Does every practice require eight movements?
Answer: Mothers can make movements based on their baby's cooperation status, without being too reluctant. If you do it all, the effect will be better.
5. How long does it usually take to practice a set of exercises?
Answer: Considering the baby's limited attention time, it is recommended to take about 20 minutes.
6. Does the baby have to do every move properly?
Answer: Don't ask your baby to do it properly: Let your baby imitate yoga poses like walking. Don't teach your baby how to "yoga breathing", just breathe normally and freely. Baby happiness and safety are the most important things.
7. What reasonable arrangements do you need to make before doing yoga for your baby?
Answer: Choosing the music and place to practice parent-child yoga is important. You can choose the music that your baby likes and is familiar with and the place that can allow you and your baby to relax quietly. (Internship Editor: Wu Jinyu)
