Yoga Cleansing Method
Yoga Cleansing Method refers to five methods to remove impurities and toxins in the human body and a method to increase concentration. They are collectively called the "six kams". If you want to make progress in practicing yoga, the "six kams" methods are indispensable. Of course, there are several methods that are too extreme. We introduce one of the safer and simple "nirvana" methods, which clean the nasal passages. In layman's terms, wash the nose with salt water. It can also be used as daily health care.
1. Take a cup of warm water about 250 ml, add a pinch of salt. The salinity can be determined according to your personal adaptability, and let the salt completely dissolve.
2. Prepare a basin or by the pool, lower your head slightly downward, hold the right nostril with your right hand, hold the cup with your left hand, and use your left nostril to absorb water. After sucking it up, raise your head and let the water flow into your mouth, then spit it out. Gently blow through your nose.
3. Do the same with your left hand and right nostril.
4. You can do it seven to eight times per nostril.
5. Finally, after placing your hands on your hips, cross your fingers and lift up, lean forward, and lower your head downward for 30 seconds to remove residual water from your nose.
Be careful when doing it at first. There may be a choking pain in both nostrils. After doing it a few times, the choking pain will disappear. Raise your head again after stopping absorbing water, otherwise, water will easily enter the trachea. Never add raw water to salt water.
The "Nieti" method removes pollutants and bacteria-filled mucus from the nostril passages, and can prevent and treat various sinus and nasal diseases, helping to treat colds. It is recommended to do it once every morning and evening, and brush your teeth after doing it. (Internship Editor: Shi Yixiong)
