Interpretation of the Eight Stages of Wang Yoga
Eight steps of Wang Yoga
1. Make precepts
Observe the five precepts of not killing, not lying, not stealing, not lewd, and not greedy, so that the body can be freed from the shackles of all material interests and have goodwill towards all things;
2. Internal control
Observe purity, contentment, asceticism, study and recite the Vedas, and worship the gods.
3. Postures
The goal of various yoga postures is to stabilize all movements and feelings, and the best position is said to be cross-legged.
4. Adjust your breath
The breathing method when practicing yoga is to forget everything except breathing;
5. Sense of control
Usually, we always see the outside world, smell the outside atmosphere, and hear the outside sounds. What we feel is some external matter, but we have never really observed the changes in our hearts, our inner feelings, and the energy of inner existence. This step is meant to divert our attention from all external perceptions to observations within.
6. Total holding
Concentrate on, unite the mind with one thought or one thing, and exclude others;
7. Meditation
After a long period of concentration, everything has disappeared, similar to a hypnotic state;
8. Enlightenment
The realm of bliss achieved through the above-mentioned unremitting cultivation. The brain is in a state of complete nothingness, without any thoughts or thoughts, and has no boundaries with the outside world.
The eight stages of Wang Yoga are intertwined. The ten principles of precepts and internal precepts can help people enter the realm of purity in yoga. In the asana stage, all impurities in our bodies are eliminated from our bodies, and our bodies can remain seated for a long time, making full preparations for entering the next higher stage of yoga, the meditation stage; through meditation, we learn how to focus our five senses on one point. When we learn to control our five senses to concentrate, we can easily find a certain point on my body or a certain point outside our body. When we learn how to flexibly control this orientation of the five senses, we can Enter the following stage of control and total retention, which is also the stage of full concentration. Only when you can achieve full concentration can you enter the stage of meditation, because we can be disturbed by the outside world at any time, and our thoughts can drift into the distance at any time. If we can achieve full concentration, we can meditate. When we can easily put ourselves in a meditative state, we can enter the so-called highest stage, the samadhi stage. Therefore, the eight steps of yoga are intertwined, and skipping any of them will not allow yoga practice to reach a certain level. Follow the eight stages and you will find that you will benefit a lot from the entire practice. This benefit is not limited to the practice and behavior of yoga itself, it will extend to other aspects of your life.
Wang Yoga is the most difficult branch of the yoga genre. Its difficulty lies in the two stages of wisdom and inner discipline. Because few people can abide by these ten rules throughout their lives, every time they awaken themselves, they will find that they have violated a certain commandment. Few people can successfully complete this process and enter the asana stage, and then continue their yoga journey. Therefore, there are very few people who can be said to be truly practicing King Yoga. (Internship Editor: Wu Jinyu)
