Yoga Practice Cleaning Method Complete

1. Dhauti is a procedure to purify the stomach.

There are three methods:

(1) Saline gastric cleansing (Jala Dhauti). The method is to kneel on your knees and drink warm salt water until your stomach is saturated. Then stand on your legs and stretch your waist to stir the salt water. Put your feet together again, bend your body forward 90 degrees, stimulate your throat with your index, middle and ring fingers, and vomit all the saline in your stomach. After long-term practice, you can automatically spit out salt water without the help of finger stimulation. A more skilled yogi can spray out water vigorously like an elephant's trunk.

(2) Band-type gastric cleansing (Vastra Dhauti). The method is to dip a cloth belt four fingers wide and seven meters long in warm water and slowly swallow it. Then, slowly and forcefully pull the cloth strap out of your stomach. If you feel difficult pulling the cloth tape, you can drink a little saline to eliminate throat cramps. This method requires teacher guidance and practice.

(3) Rubber tube gastric cleaning (Danda Dhauti). The method is to drink enough salt water, take a rubber tube one centimeter thick and about one meter long, and insert one end of the tube into the stomach. After reaching the bottom of the stomach, the body moves forward to let the saline flow through the tube, and then pull out the hose.

Stomach cleaning must be practiced after relieving yourself in the morning. This method can cure gastritis, hyperacidity and asthma.

Basti is a procedure to purify the colon. The method is:

Drink 1/4 of the warmed salt water, first lift your heels, walk forward on your toes, and hold your arms high. Then, twist the waist three times from left to right, and then from right to left. After completing the above movements, practice the snake pose, the yang prayer pose, the king fish pose, and the leg bending pose.

2. Nasal cleaning (Neti) is a technique to purify the nasal passages and force the snatch.

There are four methods:

(1) Saline nasal cleaning. Pour half a pot of warm salt water. First, hold the pot with your hands, place the spout into the right nostril, and then flow out naturally from the left nostril until the pot is filled with water.

Then according to this method, fill half a pot of warm saline water, pour it into the left nostril, and flow out naturally through the right nostril. After the practice, use the method of brain purification and quickly exhale to clear the remaining water in the nasal passage. This technique should be practiced before the sun rises in the morning.

(2) Rubber hose nasal cleaning. Insert a soft soft hose with soft and smooth ends from the right nostril, slowly push the hose inward to the throat, then use your index finger and middle finger to pull one end of the hose out of your throat, and then pull the two ends of the hose with both hands respectively. Move gently and slowly, do not use too much force. After pulling several times, remove the hose and purify the right nasal passage in this way.

(3) Milk nasal purification.

(4) butter nose cleaning. The above two surgical methods are the same as saline nasal cleaning. The difference is that the former uses warm salt water, while the latter uses milk and butter.

In addition, there are many methods for nasal cleansing. In order to save space, I won't go into details.

3. Eye purification is a technique to purify the eyes.

The method is: Sit in lotus position with your spine straight. Place a lit candle one meter in front of you, with the flame as high as your eyes. Keep your eyes fixed on the candlelight and do not stand out. While practicing, avoid being affected by tears and other stimuli. With prolonged practice, the gaze ability becomes increasingly stable, so that your eyes can remain relaxed and your mind can be focused on the candlelight. When practicing this method, you should pay attention not to excessively tense your eyes to avoid causing headaches. At the beginning of practice, stare for 10 seconds each time. After a long time, you can add 10 seconds per week, but it is limited to one minute.

4. Abdominal cleansing is mainly a surgical method to purify the abdomen.

There are four methods:

(1) Abdominal concave surgery. The method is to lean forward, bend your legs slightly, and keep your feet parallel, about one meter apart. The abdominal muscles adduct, exhale all the breath, and tighten the chest accordingly. Support the thighs with both hands and lift the ribs with your chest muscles to simulate breathing, but do not inhale gas into the lungs. Then, relax the abdominal muscles, automatically lift the diaphragm, and the abdomen adduct into a concave shape. Finally, stir your abdomen up and down, breathe quickly, and silently count the number of breaths in your heart.

(2) Centrally intestinal muscle eminence. The method is to keep the concave abdomen unchanged and tighten the abdominal muscles downward and forward (i.e., the upper side of the pelvis) to make the intestinal muscles in the center of the abdomen bulge and relax the rest of the muscles.

(3) Emigration of left (or right) intestinal muscles. The method is the same as above, only the left (or right) intestinal muscles are raised.

(4) Intestinal muscle rotation. After mastering the above three surgical methods, you can practice clockwise and counterclockwise rotation of the intestinal muscles.

5. Cleansing the brain is a technique to purify the cerebral cortex.

The method is: Sit in lotus pose and use abdominal breathing (that is, the upper extremities expand when inhaling and the abdomen contracts when exhaling), despite exhaling quickly and repeatedly. At the beginning of practice, you call about 60 times per minute. Over time, it can increase to 120 times. When practicing this technique, your energy must be concentrated on your abdomen. After exhaling, your brain gradually returns to calm.

According to Indian yogis, the "Six Purifying Techniques" are quite effective in purifying various organs of the human body. However, if there is no personal guidance from a yogi, adverse consequences will be incurred. (Internship Editor: Wu Jinyu)
