Yoga poses often make mistakes
1. Too involved and practice too frequently
Some friends who have just practiced yoga have fallen in love with the practice of yoga. Perhaps some yoga classrooms are attracted by the fact that there is no limit to the number of practice sessions on a regular basis, so they practice every day, thinking that the more they practice, the cheaper they are. They also hope to see the results of the practice immediately, but they don't know how dangerous it is. When your body is not strong in the early days of practice, you will accumulate fatigue from practicing every day. You often work hard in class before you recover. If you are young people can endure it, but those over 30 years old can't stand it. Therefore, there are many injuries. If the teacher makes injury a common occurrence to encourage you to continue practicing, it will really add fuel to the fire and make you unbearable!
It is recommended to practice no more than three days a week at the beginning, and gradually increase the number after a month or two. Don't think that some yoga teachers practice every day very effectively. They can control the strength and weight, and you can't learn it before you practice.
2. Excessive emphasis on backward bending
Many yoga teachers call for good bending practice in the future. When you meet such a teacher, she will encourage you to practice hard when you practice back bending, hoping that your head will hit your butt as soon as possible. You should know that this is a very dangerous action. In the long run, the soft tissue between the vertebrae will be damaged, and the spine will only develop in one direction, and other directions will be restricted. Sometimes, although the teacher did not emphasize backward bending, the students would want to practice well themselves, hoping to be as powerful as the photos in the book. Please think twice. There are many sections in the spine, and before you learn to control your body, no matter how you practice, you will always practice to reach the section that is easiest to bend, but you still haven't practiced the other sections of the spine. You can imagine the fate of that poor section of the spine.
For example, when students practice wheeled, they finally lift their bodies with great difficulty. When they feel happy, they want to lift their bodies as hard as they can. The result is that they are tired until the softest and most curved segment of the lumbar spine, but the other segments are still not evenly exercised. Therefore, don't rush to push your waist higher when practicing the wheel. Focus on stretching your arms and thighs first, so that you can be safe and effective.
3. Want to do postures well, but also want to do it with effort
Many postures are hard to practice, and their hands and feet are shaking and their bodies can't listen to. Students are worried that their postures are ugly, but also hope to save some energy and go home to rest. As a result, their bodies naturally move in a labor-saving direction during practice. It seems that they have reached the standard on the outside. In fact, many places are not done accurately to save energy. Over time, the joints of the body will bear a lot of unnecessary pressure. In addition, too much stretching is done, the ligaments are loosened, but the muscle endurance has not been improved. This kind of physical activity is like a controlled horse. It is soft on the outside but the body is not solid. Not only is it difficult to enjoy the benefits of yoga, but it also causes many problems.
Since practicing yoga is for your health, you should practice hard and happily. Sweat is also one of the senses of accomplishment. You should not think about how to save effort. Instead, you should think about how to be more tired while doing the movements, so that you can find out where your body is weak. Place to strengthen your exercise.
4. Too much emphasis on lacing
Stretching is a good physical activity. Moderate stretching keeps the body tissues young and energetic and also promotes blood circulation.
However, many people think that yoga is an intense stretching exercise. This is of course wrong. Yoga does contain many stretching movements, but it is just one of many elements. Instead, people who mistakenly think that yoga is stretching and stretch their bodies too much when practicing. Stretch and loosen the ligaments of the body without knowing it. Instead, it will easily hurt here and there all day long, and you can't understand the reason. Therefore, don't practice in one direction. You should find a good teacher to practice step by step so that your body can develop in a balanced manner.
5. Sweat too much
Sweating can promote metabolism and expel toxins from the body. Especially since modern people like to blow cold air, the body is often in a state of shrinking pores, so there are many diseases and the cause cannot be found. For such people, more exercise and more sweating is the best antidote. Taking western medicine to temporarily solve the problem will bring more problems.
Then why do you say that sweating too much is bad? This is actually for friends who love yoga. After you like yoga, you will feel the benefits of yoga, gradually eliminate the chronic diseases on your body, and gradually you will like the joy of sweating. However, the ancients passed down an important warning to yoga, that is, never let the wind blow before and after exercise. When the pores on your body open, you will be easily invaded by wind cold. If it is a healthy body, the pores will immediately close and protect your body. The sweat under the skin will spread into other pipes before it can be discharged. This sweat is sewage from the body, not clean water. If sewage seeps into cells and is not excreted, it will become a latent source of disease. That is, the "dampness" syndrome referred to by traditional Chinese medicine, and one must be vigilant.
Too much sweat can have disadvantages even if the wind is not blown. For example, it is generally known that the body's electrolytes are out of balance, and the body is under intense circulation of qi and blood during exercise. It is not advisable to eat at this time, otherwise the circulation of qi and blood will be affected, and the body will also need to disperse energy to the stomach to process diet, which may affect the exercise effect at the lightest, or cause physical discomfort at the worst. But how to maintain the balance of electrolytes without drinking water? So avoid sweating too much.
From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, too much sweat will damage the yin. Because it represents the secretion of fluids in the body, too much sweat will also cause the body's energy to be lost with sweat, so it should be appropriate. Fortunately, the operation of our bodies is very subtle. Healthy people, sweat will automatically adjust. People who exercise less will feel sweating profusely at the beginning of practice. Gradually, as their bodies become stronger, the sweat will become less and less. There is a long-term continuous practice for people who practice, if they occasionally encounter a lot of sweating, it means that their physical fitness is on the go at that time. At this time, they should change to a slower and easier practice, and wait until their conditions improve before returning to their usual intensity.
