12 principles to pay attention to in yoga meditation0

Practicing yoga and meditation can purify your mind and relieve physical and mental fatigue. So what should you pay attention to when practicing meditation? Let's take a look at the following 12 principles of yoga and meditation.

1. Choose a special place to practice, which can help you find peace and make it easy to enter yoga and meditation.

2. Choose a fixed time-early morning and evening are ideal.

3. Use the same time and place to relax and calm the spirit faster.

4. After sitting down, keep your back, neck and head on the same straight line, facing north or east.

5. During meditation, keep your body warm (you can put a blanket around your body when the weather is cold) and guide your consciousness to remain calm.

6. Let your breathing proceed regularly-take a deep breath for 5 minutes first, and then let your breathing calm down.

7. Establish a rhythmic breathing structure-inhale for 3 cycles, then exhale for 3 seconds.

8. When your consciousness begins to wander, don't care too much and don't force yourself to settle down.

9. After you calm down, let your consciousness stay on a fixed goal, which can be between your eyebrows or your heart.

10. Use the meditation technique of your choice to enter meditation.

Before entering the formal meditation stage, you should also note the following points:

1. Choose a position where you feel comfortable and relaxed to practice, if possible, use a lotus sitting position; but if you cannot do this position, you can choose simple sitting to practice. Correct and stable sitting posture is the key to successful meditation, because unstable posture can make thoughts and consciousness unstable.

2. Try not to eat before meditation, as this will affect your concentration.

3. Try to do meditation once a day at the beginning, and increase it to twice a day in the future. Slowly increase the meditation time from 5 minutes to 20 minutes or more, but don't force yourself to sit still for long periods of time. If you feel uncomfortable practicing one meditation method several times, you can give up this method and choose another method that is more suitable for you.

4. Don't rush for success and don't expect to achieve the expected results in a short period of time. (Internship Editor: Wu Jinyu)
