Methods for yoga beginners to practice meditation0

Many people think that yoga meditation is mysterious. In fact, the state of meditation is somewhat similar to when people are asleep. They are in a peaceful state, where they gain inner peace through seeking and restoring themselves, and thus discover the great power deep in the body, except that the latter is in sleep and people unconsciously forget themselves, while the former is in a waking state.

The following describes the basic elements for beginners to practice meditation, which can help you quickly enter the realm of meditation and experience the true meaning of yoga.

Beginners meditation methods

Time: It can be arranged freely depending on the situation and is not clearly stipulated. The general principle is to choose a quiet time and allow you to enter the meditation state as soon as possible.

Place: A quiet, non-noisy place that will not be disturbed.

Physical requirements: Try to reduce body weight, preferably after defecation or before eating. (At this time, the nerves and five senses-vision, hearing, smell, taste, and touch-are most acute, which can improve the effect of meditation)

Posture:

1. Sitting upright, keep it upright. It is better to sit cross-legged, but you must also take into account comfort and cannot be forced.

2. The spine is straight, as if it was being lifted by a rope hanging from the ceiling.

3. Relax your shoulders, place both hands with palms up on your knees, circle your thumb and index finger into an "O" shape, and stretch out the other three fingers naturally.

4. Raise your chin slightly, gently close your eyes, and close your eyes to the tip of your nose. After getting used to it, you half close your eyes and stare at a place in front of you. (For beginners, it is definitely easier to enter meditation with your eyes closed.)

Breathe: Breathe through your nose repeatedly, naturally and gently, as if you have forgotten the breathing itself.

Time: Whether it is 3 minutes or 5 minutes, it doesn't matter how long it takes, but 30 minutes is ideal. (Internship Editor: Wu Jinyu)
