The beauty of asana yoga

The beauty of asana yoga0

"Yoga asana" refers to maintaining a certain comfortable movement or posture for a period of time, using some static movements of twisting and stretching to stimulate glands, massage internal organs, and have the effect of relaxing nerves and muscles, and strengthening the body.

It is said that these asanas were imitated by ancient yogis observing animal movements and resting in the Himalayas. There are thousands of asanas created by various yoga sects, but only dozens of them have been really passed down and are often practiced, such as Cobra, Peacock, Fish, and Locust. Perhaps the most common yoga pose is the "Lotus Sitting Style". When meditating, the upper body is straight and the two insteps are pressed against the thighs. Of course, this is not easy for many people to do.

Usually the first lesson for beginners is "breathing". Yoga emphasizes breathing through the nose. Calm and slow deep breathing can relax the tense body and mind. Every time you practice a posture, there is a corresponding breathing pattern. Sometimes the body is required to maintain a certain posture and breathe naturally, and sometimes you are required to hold your breath for a few seconds.

Before practicing yoga asana, do warm-up exercises first to soften your bones, joints, and muscles to avoid strain during practice. Warm up more areas where muscles and bones are difficult to relax, and beginners should do more.

After practicing postures, you should also have a full-body massage, especially the joints. Massage can soothe muscles, promote blood circulation, and also take the opportunity to eliminate toxins in the body and restore body functions. After massage, you should lie flat on the ground and relax your body for a few minutes.

Yoga has a lot of movements to twist and stretch the trunk and limbs, so the clothing should be loose. You should not practice within two hours after a meal. When the nostrils are not smooth, breathing is affected, and there are many postures that should not be practiced. In addition, women should stop practicing during menstruation, pregnancy and within one month after giving birth. The practice place needs to be quiet and ventilated. Yoga is not like aerobic dancing or jogging, you can practice it yourself. There are methods to breathe, and there are certain procedures and progress to practice postures. If you want to learn yoga well, you should seek help from a professional teacher.

Yoga is effective in lowering blood pressure and alleviating symptoms such as back pain and joint pain. The medical community has begun to pay attention to the efficacy of yoga on heart and neurological diseases, and has even studied the use of yoga to combat the pain of cancer chemotherapy. However, rather than treating yoga as a savior, it is better to simply use it as a lifestyle to relieve stress and regulate the body and mind.
