Brief Talk on Spiritual Yoga
More than 30 years ago, Utahpur Pradesh Medical University in India observed yoga. Experts buried the person with deep yoga skills underground, gave him the necessary water, and then covered him with soil. The yogi survived underground for eight days. After coming out, except for his physical weakness, his vital signs were normal.
What was even more unbelievable was that when experts monitored him with an electrocardiogram, they found that his heart was beating slower and slower, and for a period of time there was a straight line. But just as the experts were preparing to dig the earth to save people, his heart slowly resumed beating. Afterwards, the tester said that he was working hard underground to eliminate distracting thoughts and seeing himself as a leaf on a tree communicating simply with nature. Distraction is the enemy of yoga practitioners. The sign of the depth of your skill is sometimes how you control your distractions.
In 1993, an Indian-American yoga practitioner, Monkef Kidd, threw away his oxygen tank, crossed the 6500-meter mountaineering death line, and climbed the world's second highest peak, K2. At an altitude of 6500 meters, the air is so thin that normal people cannot survive, but Monkef Kidd succeeded. At a press conference awarding the Guinness certificate, Monkef Kidd said, I think the biggest obstacle to anaerobic mountaineering is desire. Because any small distraction on the top of the mountain will make you feel like you need more oxygen. (Internship Editor: Shi Yixiong)
