Yoga instructors need to know ten things about their members
Many times, we don't know what kind of person the "self" is. Some people say they are optimistic, some say they are a painful person, and some people cannot forget the pain because of optimism, because you can also regard painful things as an exercise in your growth. When looking back on your experiences, some people tell them with smiles, while some people tell them with pain when looking back on happiness.
Health refers to a state of physical and mental integrity and abundant physical strength. Modern people who pursue quality of life are increasingly concerned about and paying attention to their own health. When the World Health Organization was founded, it pointed out in its charter that health is not just the absence of disease and weakness, but a state of integrity in terms of physical, psychological and social adaptation. It can be seen that health includes both physical and psychological aspects, which are indispensable. To measure whether a person is healthy, we must analyze it from aspects such as physical, psychological, and behavioral factors.
As a yoga instructor: Do you know your members? As a coach, you don't just teach yoga, or you can guide several sets of movements; to be an excellent and qualified yoga instructor, you need to know ten conditions of your members:
First, the purpose and needs of members practicing yoga.
Second, the overall health status of members.
Third, the members 'hobbies and personality conditions.
Fourth, the professional status and daily habits of the members.
Fifth, the mentality and emotional status of the members.
Sixth, the health status and medical history of the member.
Seventh, the mental age and actual age status of the member.
Eighth, the members 'diet and sleep conditions.
Ninth, the cultural background and understanding of the members.
Tenth, the current physical status and affordability of the member.
We can roughly infer the health status of some members through the members 'faces, body postures, and breathing during practice.
One of the methods to test members before practicing yoga:
Breath-holding tests can help members check whether their lungs are healthy. Abdominal breathing, inhale-hold your breath {do not hold your breath hard, do not endure hard}, exhale, slowly spit it out, and see how long the process lasts. Tip: Of course, the longer the better.
If you can hold your breath for more than 30 seconds, it means that your lung function is normal and healthy; if you can hold your breath for 1 minute, it means that your lung function is very healthy and good; for the members after the test, the yoga instructor will know how to grasp the strength of the body when teaching yoga, the length of time, the intensity of the movements, etc. (Internship Editor: Wu Jinyu)
