A cup of soy milk prevents men from getting beer bellies
According to reports, drinking a glass of soy milk every day may drive the beer belly away.
Studies have shown that drinking a cup of soy drink a day can reduce a lot of fat that accumulates in your abdomen. Abdominal fat is particularly bad for health, increasing the risk of heart attack and diabetes more than fat from other parts of the body. Soybeans, a plant protein, are thought to block the process of turning excess sugars into fat.
During the study period, those who drank soy milk every day had less abdominal fat, while other women had increased abdominal fat, the researchers told the annual meeting of the American Association of Reproductive Medicine.
Recent research has shown that beer belly greatly increases the risk of heart attack. A 12-year study of more than 100,000 men and women showed that waist circumference has a strong relationship with health.
Those with particularly large waistlines have a 40% higher risk of suffering arteriosclerosis, colic and heart attacks than those with washboard bellies. The U.S. study shows that those at greatest risk are those who develop beer bellies when they are young. (Internship Editor: He Lili)
