What is intangible cultural heritage (intangible cultural heritage)?
Cultural heritage is not limited to the collection of monuments, sites and related objects.
It also includes traditional customs or living expressions passed down from our ancestors to our descendants, such as oral traditions, performing arts, social practices, rituals, festivals, knowledge and practices about nature and the universe, as well as knowledge and craftsmanship used to make traditional crafts.
Although they may not be "material"(they cannot be directly touched), they are an important part of cultural heritage.
Intangible cultural heritage trainer
Intangible cultural heritage trainers can guide everyone in the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, and some trainers have become consultants at the national level, which may have an impact on the formulation of national policies.
However, there is only one UNESCO-certified intangible cultural heritage trainer currently active in China.
For China, which has rich intangible cultural heritage, it still needs a lot of intangible cultural heritage trainers.
So, who is qualified to become an intangible cultural heritage trainer?

Training for intangible cultural heritage trainers
From July 2 to July 6, more than 30 intangible cultural heritage trainers from more than 20 countries around the world gathered in Hangzhou to participate in the Asia-Pacific Intangible Cultural Heritage Teacher Training Course hosted by UNESCO and the UNESCO International Training Center for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region.
The training course focuses on UNESCO capacity building, national level intangible cultural heritage policy support, intangible cultural heritage integration development policies and programs, Systematic training was conducted on topics such as the inclusion of intangible cultural heritage in education.

What is Intangible Cultural HeritageICH)?
Cultural heritage does not end at monuments and collections of objects.It also includes traditions or living expressions inherited from our ancestors and passed on to our descendants,such as oral traditions,performing arts,social practices,rituals,festive events,knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe or the knowledge and skills to produce traditional crafts.While these may not be tangible–they cannot be touched–they are a very important part of our cultural heritage.
ICH facilitators
ICH facilitators can provide guidance on the safeguarding of ICH.Some of them become national-level consultants who would affect the national policy making.In China,however,there is only one active UNESCO-certificated ICH facilitator.Many more are needed to support the rich ICH of China.So,what are the requirements to become an ICH facilitator?

From July 2 to 6,30 ICH facilitators from more than 20 countries gathered in Hangzhou to participate in the Training of Trainers Workshop on ICH for Facilitators from the Asia-Pacific Region co-organized by the UNESCO and International Training Centre for the ICH in the Asia-Pacific under the auspices of UNESCOCRIHAP).The training focuses on several issues including UNESCO's capacity building,national-level policy support,international assistance,building the capacity to integrate intangible cultural heritage in development policies and program,and the inclusion of intangible cultural heritage in education.
