Which is more suitable for you, practicing at home or practicing in a yoga studio0

"Should I practice yoga at home or in a professional yoga studio?" The last time I was asked this question was at a large-scale gathering of friends, asking a new mother whose child was just four months old. Prior to this, there were many friends like her who had heard or witnessed the magical weight loss effect of yoga, but they had not made up their minds to start practicing due to time, environment and other reasons.

Judging from my personal practice experience, I started by self-study. At that time, the only place to practice yoga was the bed in the dormitory, and there was no yoga music. However, because of concentration and interest, I could quickly enter practice status and progress quickly. Later, after I went to a yoga studio with the conditions, I practiced several classes with the yoga teacher. I felt that the practice knowledge was rich, but the effect was not as obvious as when one person practiced alone-mainly because I needed to match the teacher's breathing length, and there were too many people, which made it difficult to concentrate and so on.

Of course, this is just a sharing of my personal experience. I suggest you try both environments and you can quickly identify which is more suitable for you. The following summarizes the respective characteristics of the two places for your reference.

Practice yoga at home

·Suitable for the crowd: There is a venue and environment suitable for yoga practice at home, understand basic fitness knowledge, and have strong self-learning skills

·Practice tools: yoga blanket (personally think that a small mattress that is easy to clean at home is better, but not too thick), yoga book (or CD-ROM. I prefer books because you can understand the principles of yoga practice and facilitate self-guidance)

·Environmental advantages: Strong autonomy, you can arrange your own time according to the pace of life (it is recommended to practice at a fixed time every day) and exercise content

·There may be risks in the environment: there is no special guidance and you need to explore it yourself

Practice yoga in a yoga studio

·Suitable for the crowd: People who like to practice in groups and need environmental influence and supervision (in other words, people who are too lazy to practice themselves)

·Practice tool: yoga mat (best to carry yourself)

·Environmental advantages: There is special guidance and a practice atmosphere

·There may be risks in the environment: the teaching progress may disrupt an individual's breathing rhythm; poor air circulation in yoga studios with poor conditions may affect the practice effect. (Internship Editor: Wu Jinyu)
