Primary stage of yoga: concentration
If a person achieves this ability, he can become the master of his own spirit and control the ups and downs of his spirit. At the same time, he can also restrain his mind so that it does not fantasize or get entangled in countless questions, events, concerns and objective things. By mastering this method, you can find the correct answers in the confusion. Chaotic thoughts become selective and purposeful thinking, and those meaningless and worthless distractions are eliminated.
With appropriate training and mastering this method of concentration, the conditions of people with mental illness will change significantly. To better understand the effects of concentration, I will elaborate on people's views and understandings of the nature of the spirit and its relationship with the body in India.
Spirit is always associated with some problem, event, idea or object by its characteristics. Although the duration of this connection may be long or short, the mind can only think about one problem during the last period of time. As for what things the human spirit is connected with, it is difficult to predict.
It must be understood that this nature of the spirit in connection with things can produce a special reaction in the body. Because the mind is affected by a certain problem or thing, a corresponding reaction will occur inside the body. In other words, the nature of this reaction is consistent with the nature of the thing with which the spirit is associated. Therefore, when the spirit is troubled by something irritating, the spirit affects the body and changes, putting the individual in an angry state.
Due to this characteristic of the spirit, many unprovoked things that affect the spirit will produce a series of inexplicable reactions in the body. As a result, the person is in tension, excitement, excitement, joy, shock, or some other different mental state time and time again. Yoga places great emphasis on the fact that a person must be able to control his scattered spirit and be able to consciously guide his thoughts correctly towards a desired goal; otherwise, he cannot believe that he has mastered the gist of yoga.
This ability to control the mind and direct it in a selected direction is achievable as long as you practice it intensively through yoga. In order to practice mental concentration, certain preparations must be made. (Internship Editor: Wu Jinyu)
