Islamic story: the story of Ishmael

the prophet of ibrahim, by the command of allah, travelled long distances to mecca with his son, ismail, who was still breastfeeding, and his wife, hajar.

at that time, mecca was a desert, with mountains, no people, no hair, no water.

abraham settled his wife and his son, leaving them some water and dry grain, and was ready to leave.

as he turned around to return to palestine, ismail's mother and his wife hajar grabbed his clothes and said to him, “abraham, where are you going? will you just leave our mother and our son in this empty, empty place, without water or food?" abraham did not answer his wife's question, and he left with determination.

hajar followed him and asked, “abraham, you left us here alone and left our mother and our son alone?” and abraham did not answer, nor looked at his wife.

hajar said, over and over and over and over again, that the prophet ibrahim still did not look at his wife.

then hajar asked, “is this what god has commanded you to do?” it was only then that ibrahim replied simply, “yes, god commanded me to do so.” when hajar heard it, he said with confidence: “so long as this is god's will, god will not abandon our mother and our son, and he will protect and take care of us.” that's how his wife hagel let abraham go and returned to his son, ishmael.

and the land where ibrahim laid his son down.

and abraham went back and forth, until his shadow disappeared in the sight of his wife.

it was only then that ibrahim raised his hands high in the sky and cried to god with tears in his eyes: “our lord! and indeed we have settled some of my offspring in a valley without crops, near your sacred house – my lord! that they may establish prayer.

and set the hearts of some in love with them, and give them some of the fruits that they may be grateful.

my lord and their lord, i have obeyed your command, and have left my children here as you will, to dwell next to your sacred house, in this land of no hair, no water.

may you not forget their loneliness! i hope someone comes to them and let this place flourish! may thou grant them fruits and convenience.

they will pray to you twice as much and thank you very much.” and the prophet ibrahim left behind his young son and his wife hajar in the valley behind him, and left allah to look after and protect them.

ishmael's mother returned to her son to nurse her son.

in the first few days, hajar was hungry and ate her husband ' s dry food, which ibrahim had left for her, and was thirsty and drank of water from a drinking tank.

until the fresh water was drained and the dry food finished, ishmael had no milk to suck.

the hunger and thirst caused hajil to groan, and she could not help but look around, hoping to see someone, but there was no personal shadow.

she looked at the children in her arms, who were crying with hunger and thirst.

there's nothing she can do but look goodPut him down and walk away.

Finally, she found a mountain nearby, that's Mount Safa.

So she climbed up and looked around the top of the hill, but who could she see? There was no way for her to go down the hill and climb another Margaux, and she came down on one occasion from Mount Safa, and then went up and down it seven times.

Every time she found someone.

The crying of my distant son, Ishmael, came to her ear like a position.

Today's Muslims must run seven times between Mount Safa and Mount Maal-Bhar.

As Hajil climbed the top of the Mount of Mehr for the seventh time, she stood at the highest place, looking towards the place where Ishmael lay.

She saw her son's feet on the ground and, for a while, a glen spring appeared on the floor.

And finally, with the might of the supreme and great God, a spring appeared at the foot of his son Ishmael.

And Hajr rejoiced and flew down from the mountains, and came to the spring's eyes, and raised the spring with his hands, and filled it with jars.

She pretends, the water runs, and more.

Hajr had a good drink and then fed Ishmael well.

Ishmael has come to quiet, and the anxiety caused by hunger and thirst has begun to disappear.

This spring, which gushes water by the power of God, is the “spreading spring”; until this day, those who go to Kelba's pilgrimage will seek water by it in a hurry.

One day, after the seepage, the Arabs of the Gulhumu tribe passed by by and found Ishmael and his mother Hajar living near the seepage.

So they sat down to rest, and eased their journey from fatigue and hardship.

Then the elders and the people looked up and looked up, and only the birds circled in the sky.

And they said, "The birds circled here, there must be water nearby.

But we don't know where the water is.

This is a valley with little grass and no water.

What the hell is going on? Why would a bird fly here?" So the chief came to two people and said, "Go and see if there's water.

Bring us the exact information." The two men who were sent away.

They found Hajar's mother and son, who lived next to the permeable spring.

The two men returned to the people and reported to the Chief: “We have been to the place where we found a woman and her child.

We also found a spring where there was no one but the two of them." The people thought about it, and they said, "What if we stay by that spring of eyes? Will that woman allow us to live next to her?" So the Gilwoods went together to the place they found.

When they got there, they said to Hagel, "Do you agree that we should camp here and stay with you?" “All right, you can stay, but you can't take over our water.” Hager said.

"Well, we don't have the rightPower, water is yours." People answered.

Hajar was a kind person, and she agreed to stay with the Gilhumu so that the place was no longer empty.

Thus God responded to the request of Abraham, the Prophet, who made the Gilwood live in the land where Abraham left his wife and children, giving the valley not only water, but also a well-known spring of seepage.

Years are running like water, year by year...

and Ishmael is growing up, learning not only Arabic from the Gilhumu, but also that God has made him mouthful, able to speak.

Ishmael has become a young man who can share his fears with his father.

Also on the Palestinian side, one day the Prophet Ibrahim had a nightmare that God had made him slaughter his son, Ishmael.

In fact, this is a revelation from Allah, which the prophets consider to be the truth, and do as they will.

In this way Allah informed Abraham the wise Prophet.

And Abraham answered the command of Allah, and went fast.

Abraham departed from Palestine to Mecca, where his son Ishmael lived.

And Abraham told his son the command of Allah, that he should not be surprised or afraid.

He said: O my son! I had indeed dreamed that Allah would kill you for sacrifice.

Think about it! What's your problem? Son, I felt like I had killed you in my dream.

This is God's order.

What do you have in mind and say?" Ishmael, who listened to his father, had no fear, nor asked why.

On the contrary, he said, without hesitation and full of affection: “O my father! And carry out what thou hast commanded.

If Allah will, you will find me patient.

Father, do as God commands.

May I bear the test of God's command and sacrifice for him.” This is how Ishmael believed in the truth, so that he obeyed God's command in full, without asking why.

Therefore, when we hear the command of God or of His Messenger, do not say what is going on or ask why.

We should say, “We hear, we obey.” This is what the righteous of Allah and his son did.

Abraham took his son with a sharp knife and rope to the place where God had commanded him.

Ishmael willingly let his father give himself up without hesitation, following God's command.

And when Abraham was about to kill his son, he said to his father, “Father, tie up the rope so that I may not move.

You take my clothes off and leave them out of blood.

And cut off my head with a knife, and complete the command of Allah as soon as possible.

Otherwise, it will be hard for me to die." Abraham listened to his son and said, “O my son, you are truly obedient to God.” Ibrahim was determined to do what his son meant.

He held his son in his arms, kissed his son in the eyes, weeping and wetting his cheeks.

To sacrifice to God, IshmaelSo strong and obedient.

Abraham took the knife and cut it with all his strength on his son's neck, but it seemed that it had not worked, that Ishmael's skin had not been broken at all, that there had been no marks on his neck, that he had not touched it at all, and that the knife had been placed on it.

And Ishmael said to his father, "Father, turn my face to the ground.

If you see my face, you'll surely have a hidden heart.

In this way, you will waver between me and God, the Supreme.” Abraham listened to the advice of his son, turned his face down, and cut his neck with a knife, but the son remained secure, and the knife refused to obey God's command.

At the same time, Abraham and Ishmael heard a cry of God from heaven: “O Ibrahim! You did prove the dream with your actions." God means that you have been tested, Abraham, that you are one of those who obey God and act as soon as possible.

It is indeed a clear test, the most obvious.

And after hearing the call of Allah, Abraham found before him a mighty black-headed sheep.

Allah revealed to Abraham the slaughter of this black head of sheep as a sacrifice to Allah, instead of Ishmael.

From this year onwards, Muslims are slaughtering (cows, sheep, camels) every year during Eid al-Adha as a sacrifice。
