I have a date with yoga
Speaking of which, I have been practicing yoga for three years, but it has been intermittent and I have not completely persisted. During this time, I realized the joy that yoga brought me, as well as the irascibility and irritability deep in my soul when there was no yoga.
For more than half a year last year, I basically insisted on practicing yoga. I woke up in my own house and practiced Japanese salutations twelve times every morning. Then I did some other poses, ate something, and went to work. I felt refreshed all day. Even in the hottest summer months, my heart was as calm as water. It was really wonderful to recall that quiet joy. Later, after the National Day, the weather gradually turned cold, so I stopped doing it. The arrival of cold winter completely isolated yoga, and I hadn't practiced for three or four months. The long winter is fading away, and the spring of 2008 is late. I think a new beginning is coming. I want to continue my date with yoga. However, at the beginning of the year, I faced a series of problems such as work and marriage, which almost disrupted my life, and yoga was even forgotten. My wedding date was set for May Day, and that day finally came, and I finally became a bride. Now that everything has settled, my heart is at ease.
I'm going to continue dating yoga, and it's going to be the work of my life. No matter how simple my understanding of yoga is, I truly feel the joy and tranquility that yoga brings me. It makes my life clear, clean, healthy and sunny. When practicing yoga, you will forget all your troubles. Not only will your body become relaxed, but your soul also become lighter, floating at will, without being bound by any worldly constraints. I think that as a mortal person, this is a rare moment of transcendence. Maybe you have no consciousness at that moment, but when you return to the world, you will feel the transcendence of that moment. Yoga builds a bridge between the secular world and the other world, allowing a layman to travel freely between these two time and space. This is a wonderful experience. This kind of experience can change a person's attitude towards life, so that people will not fall into the secular world, and thus live with relaxation and freedom. In a busy life, yoga can really balance people's excessive desires, worries and impetuosity. It gives people the opportunity to look at themselves, their hearts, and know themselves.
Yoga is like a well, in which people are looking for what they need. People who love beauty see that yoga can lose weight, people who are in a bad mood, people who see that yoga can please the heart, people who want to transcend the soul, see the mysterious power of yoga, people who want to make money, see the huge business opportunities behind yoga. However, yoga is still that well, very deep and quiet. No one knows how deep it is, and no one knows what it is thinking. Maybe these don't matter in secular life, people don't have too much energy to focus on them, people only focus on what they need, but that's enough. Yoga is like the sea. It doesn't care what people want from it. It is always willing to give away. When people get what they want, they are as happy as picking up a beautiful shell by the sea, and the sea smiles.
The vastness of yoga may be beyond my comprehension in my life, but I am satisfied to be able to date yoga. It is like picking up a beautiful shell by the sea. (Internship Editor: Lin Xiaodong)
