Basic elements of yoga meditation
With the increasing popularity of ancient yoga, meditation in yoga has attracted more and more curiosity and attention. Two extreme perceptions have emerged among practitioners: First, many friends regard it as a fear, thinking that meditation is mysterious and difficult to master. Or think that meditation is a single meditation. Some people even believe that meditation is "dead heart" and a kind of "spiritual suicide." At the other extreme, one thinks that meditation is easy and is eager to pursue meditation methods. However, he lacks an understanding of the nature and operation of the heart. He often only has the form of meditation and loses the reality of meditation, and the direction is deviated. In yoga class, I saw students sitting cross-legged, but before they fell into a coma, they were filled with delusions. Some coaches lack diligence and think that yoga ends here and guide the blind, so that students generally cannot have a comprehensive understanding of yoga. In fact, meditation is not a mystery. The ultimate goal of all true yoga meditation is to achieve Samadhi. Yoga practitioners use meditation to control the body and mind and transcend the three states of matter. Communicate with the truth in a deep level of tranquility and achieve supreme joy. Regular meditation practice has many benefits, the most obvious ones are the following: First, it allows you to recognize yourself, your reactions and thoughts, and you can see your thinking patterns. You can change the way you do things. If you can grasp the thread of your thinking, you can grasp yourself.
2. Reduce stress. Reducing stress can relax our body and mind. Reflect on the mistakes in our lives and see what is bothering us. Think about what's going on in our heads
3. Increase energy and concentration, so that we can be more involved in doing things.
4. Meditation allows us to understand ourselves better. I don't know if you can realize it, but most of us actually find it difficult to really get along with ourselves. When meditating, we can truly learn to enjoy the joy of being alone. so that you can enjoy this moment

Before formally starting the study of meditation, let us first take a look at such a concept. What is samadhi?
In Bashata Yoga, Samadhi is the highest stage of yoga. According to the famous yoga scripture "Bhagavad-Gita", when a person's mind is completely separated from material psychological activities due to practicing yoga, such a state of perfection is called meditation or samadhi.
The word "separated from material mental activities" appears in this concept. How to understand this name? We need to look at it from two aspects.
The first is not to regard the purpose of the work as attachment to the results of the work. Many people are eager for the results of their work before they start. This led to various sources of unhappiness, such as being afraid of not getting the results he wanted after working before starting work. After completing the work, I really didn't achieve my expected wishes. Fear of losing what you have achieved. The results of the work are really lost. Even if he really completed the work successfully, he felt that he didn't do it well enough, and so on. This excessive focus on results creates neglect of the process and creates a sense of stress. When we break away from this attachment to results, we do exactly what we should do, pay serious attention to the process of each moment, and let every minute be spent fully. Happiness and happiness will come to us. We can think of it as being divorced from material activities to a certain extent.
The second is the transcendence of the three states of matter. Yoga believes that material nature has three forms: kindness, passion and ignorance. "When the eternal creature comes into contact with nature, it is conditioned by these forms"(Bhagavad-Gita, Chapter 14, Ode 5). There is always one of these forms that dominates at any moment. Everyone may feel strange. Ignorance and passion can make people lose their rationality. Of course, they must transcend it, but why should they transcend kindness? In the sixth hymn of chapter 14 of the Bhagavad-gita, there is an explanation that "the state of kindness is purer than other states, and it frees people from the retribution of all evil." People in this state cultivate and develop wisdom, but they are constrained by the concept of happiness." In other words, people in a good state are still only interested in their own happiness. This can still be a source of unhappiness for practitioners. For example, maternal love is recognized as selfless love in the world, but most of this love is still in a kind state. This causes the mother to place a resentment on her daughter-in-law or son-in-law due to a sense of loss after the child gets married and starts., resulting in a delicate family relationship that has been irreconcilable since ancient times. For example, if you give up a seat for an old man on the bus, but the old man does not thank you after sitting down, many friends may feel a little unhappy. These are all reasons for being kind. Because you still care more about yourself than the thing itself. This situation will continue to improve through continuous yoga practice. Only people who are not interested in their own happiness can be truly happy. This seemingly incomprehensible truth is logical and easy to understand for real yogis. So what kind of state can mean that a person has transcended the three states of material nature? According to the Bhagavad-gita, when one faces various thoughts and emotions, one always maintains the attitude of a bystander, realizing that only various forms are in action. When he treats so-called joy and pain, treats soil and gold equally, treats so-called personal enemies and close friends equally, does not panic about favor or disgrace, and gives up his persistence in self-interest, such a person transcends the three states of material nature. The various practices of each yoga system are aimed at freeing people from these three states of material nature. Getting rid of these three states is also getting rid of material psychological activities. (Internship Editor: Zhang Xing)
