Introduction to yoga meditation
meditation is to focus your thoughts on a certain point. There are several ways to do it:
First, observe breathing. Focus on our smooth and deep breathing, and slowly narrow the scope of our attention to the tip of our nose or the small space outside the tip of our nose for breathing and exhaling. Feel carefully the changes between each inhalation and exhalation, and don't think about anything else.
Second, observe external objects. You can also close your eyes half and focus your eyes on a fixed point about a foot away in front of you. It can be a picture or a candle light. Try to keep the things in front of you as simple as possible to avoid distractions. But after watching it for a while, I slowly closed my eyes, still thinking about the image in my heart, and still breathing smoothly.
Third, insight. There are many places you can see in Vipassana. In addition to the breathing observation introduced earlier, you can also focus on the third eye, throat chakra, heart chakra and many other places. If there are any distracting thoughts, still come back and visualize the fixed point in your inner vision, and don't let your attention get distracted.
Meditation time doesn't need to be too long, especially for beginners. It's good to be able to focus and enjoy for 5 minutes. Then slowly lengthen the time for each meditation. However, it should be noted that although we visualize something, our body and mood are absolutely relaxed. Don't unconsciously frown or hold your fists. (Internship Editor: Wu Jinyu)
