Heart Yoga: Makes you feel peaceful
The craze for body building and weight loss and the busy and impetuous modern urban life have led more and more people to enter the gym to practice yoga.
However, while most practitioners focus on postures, they ignore the more essence and higher-level practices of yoga: breathing and mind. Recently, Robhou, a Chinese-American master of International Heart Yoga, was invited to give lectures at Hada Yoga Club, attracting many white-collar yoga practitioners.
Misunderstanding in yoga practice: Pay only attention to body position
Among urban yoga practitioners, some people force their bodies to do difficult movements because they want to do the teacher's position in a short period of time or lose weight quickly, resulting in cramps, sprain, and strain.
Wei Limin, head coach and yoga teacher of Hada Yoga Club, told reporters that not only are some beginners prone to being eager to succeed, but a small number of people who are preparing for exams to become yoga teachers are also eager for quick success. Andy (pseudonym), who is in her 20s, participated in a yoga training class. Relying on her learning to dance as a child and her good flexibility, she quickly achieved most of the positions, so she ignored the mentor and suddenly ignored the adjustment and inner heart. After several months of training, she rushed to find gyms everywhere to teach. As a result, because she blindly required students to do their movements properly, two people suffered ligament injuries in the first class.
Wei Limin said that flexibility is only one of the contents of practice. Yoga positions should also pay attention to the strength of each muscle and the balance of the body. Although yoga can indeed play the role of body building and weight loss, the philosophy and wisdom contained in yoga, which has a history of thousands of years, are the real treasure. Only by applying these wisdom in modern life, releasing bad emotions and calming your soul can it truly make sense.
Heart yoga: makes people more willing to give
Yoga master Gessi Michael once said that everyone wants to be happy, which is why people around the world get up from their beds in the morning. For the whole day after we got up, we were pursuing happiness. But in the process, you often end up doing something selfish or even hurting others around you. However, this is not our intention.
Heart yoga requires practitioners to have a good heart, imagine that they can help others, and become a person who is more willing to give. Robhou said that heart yoga has two effects on the practitioner's heart: first, it can make your heart and body strong; second, it can guide you to open your heart to love others. Of course, the strong health of your heart and body always stems from the latter.
Heart Yoga was first introduced to Xizang by Master Naloba in India, so it is also called Xizang Heart Yoga. The most important difference between this yoga and other yoga lies in the way you breathe and what you are thinking when doing yoga. Xizang Heart Yoga will affect your outside and inside, bringing you long-term strength and peace.
Imagination: Makes you feel at peace
Sitting on a yoga mat, you will often feel better.
When practicing heart yoga, sit comfortably in the front of the yoga mat, palms together, and lean against your chest. Gently close your eyes and imagine a red rose in your heart with a shining diamond in the center of the rose. Robhou said that it is important to imagine such a flower that accompanies you to grow up, which can more powerfully promote subconscious thoughts and inner winds. Imagine it could thrive without water, or in the desert, or in the midst of busy modern life. At the same time, imagine the diamond in the rose exuding a loving, crystal-clear light. When you stretch your body, your breathing will be deep and regular. This can calm the inner breath, so doing a good yoga session can make people feel calm, fresh and refreshed. When practicing Heart Yoga, it is done by matching one standard yoga posture with another unique posture of Heart Yoga.
All-day heart yoga, everyone can practice
If you can't spend 30 minutes a day quietly sitting on a yoga mat and practicing heart yoga, that's okay. You can practice it at any time of the day, at home, in the office, waiting for the bus, and while taking the subway.
The first thing is to sit straight, which is the most important yoga posture. Second, avoid tightening your shoulders. Tight shoulders are a natural response to the pressures of life. We must learn to consciously relax ourselves. Third, remember to shrink your abdomen as much as possible whether you are walking, standing or sitting down. Fourth, don't forget to smile up and smile every minute as much as possible. The fifth is breathing. During your workday, continue to breathe fully and slowly. The last thing is to keep good thoughts. On the way from work, I was caught in a traffic jam and looked at the exhausted businessman in front of me with loving eyes; in the office, I looked at the stressed colleagues with loving eyes; and I looked at the husband at home with loving eyes.
