Delicate relationship-female figure and career development
A recent study published in the American Journal of Applied Psychology found that slim female employees are more likely to be promoted and have higher wages than their obese colleagues.
Researchers at the University of Florida found that slim women earn about $15000 more a year than their average-sized colleagues, while obese women earn $13000 less a year than women with average-sized stature.
The study also compared the situation of men, who were the opposite of women
The salary of obese men is higher than that of men of normal weight and thin stature. The annual salary of men of normal weight is US$8500 higher than that of men of thin stature; and the salary will increase with the increase of weight. There was also an interesting finding in the study. Among the samples surveyed, the highest salary was also the highest weight, reaching 208 pounds.
