Spain's exotic competition-snail race
The world is so big that there are no surprises. Everyone has heard of the story of the race between turtles and rabbits, but they have not necessarily seen the "snail race". Doesn't it sound speechless? Does it instantly remind you of the story of the race between turtles and rabbits? Moreover, there are no animals to compare in this competition? Guess how long the fastest among them ran?
According to foreign media reports, there is a special competition in the Spanish town of Soria-the snail race. It is reported that this town has held 35 competitions before. A total of 37 snails competed in this competition.
The trainers of participating snails are all children. They have to train snails selected from the wild for several days before bringing their own snails to participate in the competition.
The snail competition includes a one-meter wall-climbing competition: the participating snail needs to climb from the foot of a one-meter-high statue to the top finishing line. The first one to arrive wins.
In the other game, the snail is surrounded in a circle with the head facing outwards, and the first player to leave the concentric circles with a radius of one meter wins.
The rules are that competitors must respect each other. Children must not touch the snails. They can only cheer them on. If the snails deviate from their direction, the judges will help them turn around. The judges can also spray water to encourage the snails to move forward. After the competition, the snail will retire to the countryside.
In this competition, the snail named Zeti won the wall-climbing championship. It took 6 minutes and 22 seconds. This unbeaten record in the competition was maintained by the 2005 player "Flash" in 5 minutes and 38 seconds. The champion of the one-meter-radius circle race was named Tianlong, which took 13 minutes and 22 seconds.
It is understood that there are three other places in the world where snail races are held: Delicio in Rioja, a Spanish wine country, a town near Milan, Italy, and Conham, England. There is also the annual World Snail Running Competition.
